Tο Ερευνητικό Εργαστήριο Κατ’ Οίκον Νοσηλείας (ΕΕΚΟΝ) σας προσκαλεί στο τρίωρο σεμινάριο-workshop που οργανώνει με τίτλο: Writing for Publication, με ομιλήτρια την Καθηγήτρια Νοσηλευτικής Fiona Timmins από το University College Dublin της Ιρλανδίας.
Το σεμινάριο θα διεξαχθεί εξ αποστάσεως μέσω MS-TEAMS την Πέμπτη 12 Σεπτεμβρίου, ώρα 17.00 – 20.00.
Η Καθηγήτρια Fiona Timmins έχει εκτενή εμπειρία στη συγγραφή άρθρων και βιβλίων, είναι Editor in Chief στο περιοδικό Public Health Nursing Public Health Nursing και Associate Editor στο περιοδικό Journal of Advanced Nursing – JAN, Journal of Advanced Nursing (JAN), του εκδοτικού οίκου WILEY.

The session will have a particular focus on writing for the Journal of Public Health Nursing and the Journal of Advanced Nursing – JAN. The workshop aims to provide an overview of writing for publication and highlight tips for success.
The following areas will be covered:
- Understanding the publication process
- Planning, structuring and editing techniques
- Understanding the publication and reviewing process, using the Journal of Public Health Nursing as a case example
- Targeting journals
- How to respond to reviewer comments
- Overcoming challenges
- General tips for becoming a better writer

Speaker Biography
Prof Fiona Timmins is the Dean and Head of the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Health Systems and Full Professor of Nursing at University College Dublin, Ireland. She has more than 25 years experience of writing for publication and reviewing papers for publication in addition to several contributions to international Editorial Boards and Advisory Panels. She has published numerous papers (251 listed in Scopus) and 11 authored/co-authored textbooks. Her H-index (Scopus) is 31 and on Google Scholar is 53. She is Editor in Chief of Public Health Nursing Journal, and Associate Editor of the Journal of Advanced Nursing. She is currently a member of three International Conference Committees and ten Editorial Boards/Advisory Panels. She is passionate about supporting Faculty and clinicians to disseminate their research and hopes that this workshop will springboard a renewed enthusiasm for writing for publication.
